Aufgaben:

  • Define, develop, and execute the global commodity strategy for EMS, ensuring alignment with plants, engineering, and regional purchasing teams.
  • Lead, drive, and monitor global cost optimization and productivity programs with EMS suppliers, working closely with regional buyers to achieve Purchasing KPIs.
  • Prepare, track, and participate in productivity, cost reduction, and competitiveness programs with EMS partners.
  • Organize and lead VAVE reviews focused on electronics manufacturing, PCBA optimization, and cost structure improvements.
  • Resolve supplier performance issues escalated to the commodity level, ensuring fair, ethical, and business aligned decisions.
  • Support and influence global sourcing initiatives for new technologies, PCBA capabilities, and EMS manufacturing process innovations.
  • Actively participate in and coordinate MAKE or BUY decision processes, evaluating cost, technology, capacity, and strategic alignment to recommend the optimal sourcing approach.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, securing competitiveness, innovation, and long term value creation.

Anforderungen:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing (experience in EMS, PCBA, or electronics sourcing is highly preferred).
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in automotive electronics, EMS, PCBA, or industrial electronic components is an advantage.
  • Strong ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Excellent collaboration and team oriented mindset.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to influence long term commodity direction.
  • Degree in Engineering or Economics, ideally with exposure to electronics or manufacturing.
  • Target driven and results oriented mindset.
  • Strong commercial and technical negotiation skills, especially related to EMS cost models, PCB assembly pricing, and electronics supply chains.
  • Solid analytical skills, including understanding of BOM structures, manufacturing cost drivers, and PCB/PCBA production flow.
  • Technical understanding of EMS processes, such as SMT, THT, testing, coating, and PCBA assembly.
  • Good proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).
